Cooperative Work Training Program

The goals of the Cooperative Work Training program are to...

  1. Provide the students with the pre-employment skills necessary for entry into the job market through in-class instruction and employment.
  2. Assist student-workers in developing good work habits.
  3. Provide activities designed to build the self-esteem of each student.
  4. Provide opportunities for students to explore careers and gain meaningful work experiences through on-the-job placement, guest speakers, field trips, classroom instruction, and job shadowing opportunities.
  5. Assist each student to develop realistic career goals, to formulate a plan of action to achieve these goals, and to implement his or her plan.
  6. Assist the student in making a successful transition from high school into the world of work or further education / training.
