Richwoods High School is a four-year, comprehensive school of approximately 1500 students. It is a special place of learning where students thrive in an atmosphere of excellence and achievement. Surrounding the spacious Richwoods terrazzo are the names and photographs of high achievers, championship athletes, and alumni in the military service-all mirroring the pride and long tradition of success one senses in this school. These intangible strengths are predominant: a sense of winning tradition reflected over the success of the past four decades and a "Richwood's mystique" embodied by our students. The learning environment at Richwoods High School is engaging and rigorous. Academic excellence is evident in all areas of instruction. Our experienced and dedicated faculty includes over ninety certified personnel, most of whom hold advanced degrees. Our staff includes guidance counselors, assistant principals, a school nurse, a psychologist, a social worker, and a speech pathologist.
Richwoods, the choice of parents, reflects the trademarks of concern, involvement, sharing, and giving. This choice is supported through volunteerism. The Parent-Teacher-Student Advisory Board is the formal structure to help carry out the excellence of Richwoods.
