WHAT IS R.E.S.T.?

R.E.S.T. = Resources, Empowerment, Support and Training

The Family Leadership R.E.S.T. Support Group is designed to help parents and caregivers of children with mental health or behavioral issues.  The group hopes to provide information to parents who are struggling to navigate the child welfare system, to cope with difficult behaviors or mental health diagnosis, and/or is unable to find the resources needed to get help.

Our group will provide 1 hour of training on the topics below, as well as 1 hour of open discussion for support.  All professionals  and caregivers are welcome to attend the meeting to assist in our efforts to reduce the stigma of childhood mental health issues.  Families are also welcome to bring their children. We will provide childcare programming in an effort the children may learn positive social interactions and coping skills.

Refreshments and door prizes will also be provided.
