    Our positive behavior incentive system (PBIS) September Celebration was football themed. We played flag football and enjoyed nachos and soda. It was a great event!

  • Restorative Justice! Our Introduction

    While the entertainment factor is always big in this assembly, the ensemble did a wonderful job of getting the message across to both schools. Nice job all around. Now, on to the Restorative Justice Training.

  • Woodruff Earns Silver Medal for PBIS Implementation!

    • Congratulations to the entire staff, but especially to last year’s PBIS team as we have again received state recognition. Last year it was bronze, and this year we have the coveted Silver Medal. Pretty dang good for only our fourth year in existence.

  • Farewell Mrs. Duke

    End of an era here at WCTC as Ms. Duke calls it a career. Monday was her last day. For four years she has been opening her door to our toughest students in their most volatile state - not an easy thing to do. We thank her for keeping a “lid on it” and wish her a peaceful retirement.

  • Contemporary School hosts Lyrically Speaking spoken word event

    Illinois Poet Laureate Dr. Kevin Stein will be the guest speaker at "Lyrically Speaking," a poetry, spoken word, open-mic event for middle and high school students at Woodruff Career and Technical Center on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Woodruff Auditorium, 1800 N.E. Perry Avenue in Peoria. Lyrically Speaking is hosted by The WCTC Contemporary Learning Program.
