The school year has been exciting for AVID students at Peoria High. We have been busy working on our WICOR curriculum, TRF’s, and keeping up with our binders of course. This year Peoria High will once again be administering the 5Essentials Survey to our students. The 5Essentials Survey, a diagnostic tool developed by researchers at the University of Chicago, provides schools with fine-grained data on five leading indicators for school improvement: Effective Leaders, Collaborative Teachers, Involved Families, Supportive Environment and Ambitious Instruction. On February 17, 10th and 12th grade students at Peoria High School will be participating in the Illinois Youth Survey. The survey will measure substance abuse and related issues among high school students. The 2nd annual "Peoria Area Regional College Fair" will be hosted at Bradley University's Renaissance Coliseum on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Students and families from all high school are welcome to attend this event.
