Great Kindness Challenge - Start Today! The Great Kindness Challenge is a proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative that improves school climate and increases student engagement. All kids deserve to learn in a safe, supportive and dynamic environment. The Great Kindness Challenge provides a powerful tool that actively engages students, teachers, administration, families and community in creating a school culture of acceptance, tolerance, unity and respect. Simply put, we believe that KINDNESS is strength and has the power to change the world for GOOD! During January, students and staff are encouraged to complete at least 50 acts of kindness - whether towards classmates, teachers, family members, or one's self - and let others know about it so that we can all celebrate being kind to one another
The 2016 Great Kindness Challenge takes place January 25-29! Every school in our district is encouraged to participate in this powerfully positive project. This week-long bullying prevention initiative is FREE and extremely EASY to implement. Using the provided checklist of 50 kind acts, students - kindergarten through high school - take the challenge and prove that bullying is weak and kindness is strength. This challenge promotes increased student engagement and improved school climate.
